Information System Components Company
Manufacturing for Hitachi Metals' IT components operations is handled primarily by the Tottori Works and extends into Southeast Asia as well. In 1995, in the interest of focusing its investment in operational resources, Hitachi Metals made the decision to absorb the operations of Hitachi Ferrite, which was at the time a subsidiary. Today, this segment of Hitachi Metals' business has expanded into a wide range of products, including ferrite cores for communications and power supplies of all types, mobile phone components, and noise reduction devices. With an operations framework consisting of a research and development plant in Japan and mass production plants overseas, the IT Components Company is managed on a dynamic, global scale.
