years beginning in 1910 as the Tobata Foundry Co., Hitachi Metals has endeavored
to become the best possible company, contribute to society and practice quality-based
management for nearly a century. The Hitachi Metals Group engages in business
across nine business units. These comprise high-grade specialty steels, rolls
and cutting tools, information system components, soft magnetic materials, magnets,
casting components for automobiles, piping components and construction components.
Servicing a wide cross section of industries including automobiles, electronics
and infrastructure, the Group strives to address the needs of its customers by
providing innovative “Only One, No. 1” products.
