Overview

Soft ferrite is an iron-oxide-based soft magnetic material. This material features high electrical resistance and outstanding magnetic characteristics in high-frequency range although saturation flux density is slightly lower than other soft magnetic materials.

Classification of Material Advantages Material Name
Low Power Loss Outstanding low power loss in high frequency range (≥100kHz) ML series
High Bm and Power Outstanding permeability from room temperature to high temperature (120°C). MB series
High Q Low relative loss factor and high impedance MQ series
High Permeability High permeability MP series
Stable Permeability against Temperature Change Stable permeability in wide temperature range (-20 ~ 100°C). MT series
Ni-Zn ferrite
Classification of Material Advantages Material Name
Low Power Loss High saturation magnetic flux density and half power loss compared to NB•NH series. Suitable for high voltage transformer or transformer of DC/DC converter NL series
High Bm High saturation magnetic flux density. Suitable for power application NB series
Thermal Shock Resistance Outstanding thermal shock resistance with the same performance as NB series. NH series
High Permeability High permeability in Ni-Zn materials NP series
Stress and Magnetic Field Resistance Small performance change against compressive stress, and less influence by magnetic field. Suitable for resin molded components. ND•NM series
