NEW PRE-HARDENED ALLOY TOOL FOR PLASTIC MOULD, CENA1™
Overview
Hitachi Metals has developed and begun
inventory sales of 40HRC prehardened grade with chemical constituents
not found in other products, such as precipitation hardened, low
carbon Cr added Ni-Al. This product allows total cost reduction at
all stages from high-precision plastic product die production to
molding.
Proprietary Features
With CENA1™, Hitachi
Metals succeeded in achieving both rust resistivity and machinability.
This was very difficult to achieve with previous steel. Due to its
very low non-metallic inclusion content, CENA1™ features
excellent mirror polishability and crepability.
