PRE-HARDENED ALLOY TOOL FOR PLASTIC MOULD,CENA1 |
Overview |
Proprietary
Features |
Hitachi Metals has developed and begun
inventory sales of 40HRC prehardened grade with chemical constituents
not found in other products, such as precipitation hardened, low
carbon Cr added Ni-Al. This product allows total cost reduction at
all stages from high-precision plastic product die production to
molding.
|
With CENA1, Hitachi
Metals succeeded in achieving both rust resistivity and machinability.
This was very difficult to achieve with previous steel. Due to its
very low non-metallic inclusion content, CENA1 features
excellent mirror polishability and crepability. |
| Direct
Benefits |
| 1. |
Due to improved machinability, fewer molds are
used, thus lowering production costs. |
| 2. |
Due to improved corrosive gas resistance, extends
mold life and reduces maintenance. |
| 3. |
Due to improved rust resistivity
(1) Decreased rust formation at cooling water hole - Stable
molding conditions and decreased maintenance
(2) Fewer rust problems during storage and transportation of
mold
(3) Less rust formation during WEDM cutting |
